Chapter 21 - TRENT FINALLY TALKS

Trent resisted for weeks.
Then investigators confronted him with group chat, videos and transaction logs.
He admitted collecting boxes.
Admitted intimidation.
Admitted Coach Hall knew seniors resold inventory.
Did Russell know?
Trent hesitated.
“Dad knew we raised cash.”
“Did he know how?”
“I told him everybody contributed.”
“Did you tell him younger students were forced?”
“No.”
That distinction mattered.
Russell could be guilty of financial misconduct without knowing every act of his son.
Evidence, not inherited guilt.
Trent also admitted he targeted me harder because I refused publicly.
“Why call him poor?”
Trent looked ashamed.
“His clothes.”
I wore thrift-store jacket by choice because comfortable.
“Why does that matter?”
“It doesn't.”
