Chapter 12 - The Drone Operator

Lucas Trent became an unwilling celebrity after news of the footage leaked.
He hated it.
“I filmed a crime,” he told reporters. “I didn’t make a movie.”
He refused paid interviews.
Eleanor invited him privately to the hospital.
“You saved my life.”
Lucas shook his head.
“The rescue swimmer did.”
“You saw me.”
“That part, yes.”
He explained Eleanor’s niece Ava had hired him as a surprise.
A wedding-film package.
Jason had specifically rejected videographers aboard the helicopter, saying he wanted privacy.
Ava quietly arranged aerial footage instead.
Eleanor almost laughed.
“Jason hated cameras.”
“For good reason.”
Lucas had preserved original metadata.
GPS.
Altitude.
Timestamp.
Continuous footage.
No edits.
At the moment of the push, the helicopter was flying a low scenic route near an approved maritime filming corridor.
The fall was still extremely dangerous.
But the nearby camera vessel and rescue resources made survival possible.
Jason had chosen the location because he believed open water erased evidence.
