Chapter 21 - The Documents Lily Hid

Thomas believed Lily brought Margaret’s original documents to the farmhouse.
She hadn’t.
She stored them in a locker at a bus terminal.
Eva’s bread had kept Lily going long enough for her to remain conscious and alert until William came home.
Inside the locker were the originals.
The property deed.
Handwritten notes.
Bank transfers.
And a document even Margaret had forgotten existed.
Their mother Evelyn’s final will.
It explicitly revoked every transfer Harold later claimed Margaret signed.
That single document could unravel the entire chain of title.
But William cared less about the property now than the criminal evidence attached to it.
One page contained a confession from Evelyn.
Not about money.
