Two weeks before the crash, Emma had requested records from Ellison Biomedical.
She suspected unusual transfers involving the family trust.
Richard controlled several investment entities that handled Emma’s assets.
“She confronted him,” Victoria said.
“How do you know?”
“She told me.”
“And you told Richard.”
Victoria didn’t answer.
I stared at her.
“You betrayed her before the accident.”
“I thought he would explain.”
“What happened?”
“He panicked.”
That still didn’t prove anyone caused the crash.
Police reopened the original accident investigation.
I wanted answers.
But Emma surprised me.
“Damon.”
I looked at her.
“Don’t decide what happened before evidence tells us.”
