Not everyone wanted the Crestline investigation.
Officer Paige Brennan began searching cells aggressively in Yard C.
Tasha’s unit received three searches in one week.
Helen’s papers were inspected.
Legal mail remained protected under policy, but Brennan repeatedly pushed boundaries.
Tasha confronted her verbally.
Not physically.
That alone surprised people.
“Why you suddenly interested in Ward’s mail?”
Brennan smiled.
“Why you suddenly a lawyer?”
Tasha said nothing.
Later, Renee warned:
“Brennan gets packages through Crestline delivery.”
Contraband rumors.
No proof.
Tasha wanted to set a trap.
Helen refused.
“No.”
“You scared?”
“Yes.”
Tasha laughed.
“At least honest.”
Helen continued.
“And because we don’t manufacture evidence.”
That sentence stopped Tasha.
Helen had done enough of that in one lifetime.
They reported concerns through counsel.
