Malcolm's fraud went deeper.
He had not only claimed Isaiah was dead.

Isaiah refused to visit him.
Naomi asked:
“Don't you want answers?”
“No.”
“Why?”
“I already know why.”
“Money?”
“Resentment.”
Malcolm always believed Isaiah was favored by their father.
Then Isaiah's friendship with Silas made it worse.
He saw his brother standing close to wealth and receiving nothing.
He thought Isaiah was foolish.
Decades later, Malcolm tried to monetize the name.
