Chapter 6 - MADISON TALKS

Madison cried before saying anything useful.

“I used Chloe's login.”

Dr. Foster stared.

“What?”

Madison admitted Chloe had given section leaders her password months earlier because choir paperwork was easier under captain account.

Bad security.

Common teenage laziness.

Madison changed Elias's score.

Elias felt something twist.

“Why?”

“Chloe asked me.”

Chloe had not typed it herself.

But she knew.

Madison explained:

After blind auditions, captains helped enter judge sheets.

Chloe recognized her own number because she knew her audition slot.

She saw Number 17 first.

“Who is this?”

Nobody knew.

Then she heard Elias practicing later.

Recognized the voice.

Chloe panicked.

She told Madison:

“Fix the spreadsheet.”

Madison lowered Elias's total.

But Mr. Harrison manually rechecked top scores after the spreadsheet showed strange gaps.

He restored correct result.

Chloe thought Madison had failed.

Madison thought the issue was over.

Then Chloe decided to humiliate Elias enough that he would withdraw himself.

Paint.

Messages?

Madison denied.

“I didn't send those.”

Dr. Foster asked:

“Did Chloe?”

“I don't know.”

“Did she know about Daniel and Mr. Harrison?”

Madison shook her head.

“Not from me.”

Then who?

Victoria perhaps.

She was an attorney.

Could research.

But the messages began before the nepotism photograph surfaced.

Someone found the old connection early.

Madison turned over group chats.

One message from Chloe:

Mom says if Reed stays center, we'll make everyone question why.

There.

Victoria knew before the photograph went public.

How?

District transfer files listed Elias's father.

Public search could connect them.

But why would an adult research a ten-year? Elias is maybe high-school, likely 15-18. User says Chloe senior, Elias new kid maybe teen. Fine.

More importantly:

Victoria had helped Chloe build a defense before the paint incident.

This was no longer only teenagers.
