The ruined robe could not be restored completely.
Blue pigment remained.
Costume manager offered Elias a new one.
He looked at stained fabric.
“Can I keep this?”
“Why?”
“I don't know.”
Mr. Harrison said:
“Don't turn it into a trophy.”
Elias smiled.
“Wasn't going to.”
He kept it temporarily.
Not because he wanted to remember humiliation.
Because one section remained usable.
His grandmother had taught him basic sewing.
He cut a small strip after school authorized disposal.
Later he would turn it into something else.
For now:
A blue-and-white piece of cloth in his backpack.
The showcase was tomorrow.
Would Chloe sing?
District decision:
She could participate in ensemble under supervision but lost captain role and center eligibility pending disciplinary outcome.
Madison also removed from leadership for score manipulation.
Trevor remained section leader but received consequences for privacy violation.
Nobody escaped because their mistake had a “reason.”
Elias remained center because blind scores supported it.
Not reward for being bullied.
