Claire supported release of non-involved staff from restrictive contracts.
She did not invest.
No hidden control.
One former analyst Jonah Price became compliance director elsewhere.
He told Claire:
“I tried to warn.”
“You did.”
“Not hard enough.”
She stopped him.
“Don’t make yourself main character.”
He laughed.
She had learned that line from me.
Then former receptionist told investigators Daniel was generous boss until last year.
Bonuses.
Flexible schedules.
He helped an employee after flood.
Again, not monster every hour.
That made his fall instructive.
Powerful people can be kind in ways that cost them little and cruel when control is threatened.
Claire included that nuance when asked.
Then Northbridge name dissolved.
No museum.
No villain plaque.
Employees moved on.
