Fear.
Then rage.
“You're doing this because of your company.”
“No.”
“Because Colonel Morgan beat you.”
“This is not about her.”
“You said she was destroying us!”
Wade closed his eyes.
Caroline looked at him.
“You said that?”
“At home. About the audit.”
“In front of Trent?”
“Yes.”
